Why adopt animals

 Reasons to adopt a dog

It's cheaper than buying

Have you ever wondered how much it costs to adopt a dog? Although it is not the most important thing, it is interesting for you to know that buying a dog is more expensive than adopting it. Especially when we talk about adult dogs, in which in many occasions the adoption centers give them to their future owners for free.

You will get all the necessary information and support

In the adoption centers, at the beginning of the process you will be informed and guided about all the needs that the new member of the family will have. Both the center and the adopter have the same goal: to make the adoption a success.

You help the other animals to have more resources.

Adoption centers or shelters are usually saturated and have few resources. By adopting from them you are helping the rest of the animals to have more resources.

You give a living being another chance
When you adopt a dog that has been abandoned you are giving it a new home and as a consequence, another chance to be happy. You will also feel the happiness, the unconditional love and gratitude that it will give you every day.

It is an act of solidarity and animal respect
Thanks to the adoption you will be contributing your grain of sand to achieve a more just, conscious and coherent society.

What can we do?
  • Each one of us can implement actions that collaborate with animal responsibility and adoption. Here are some ideas:
  • Raise public awareness about the responsibility towards animals.
  • Correctly identify the animals to increase the recovery of those that are lost.
  • Sterilize to avoid unwanted litters.
  • Educate both animals and humans to get to know each other better and thus improve the bond and coexistence.
  • Promote adoption to give abandoned animals a new home.
  • Strengthen laws and education to achieve greater commitment and compliance.
  • Support projects that disseminate and advocate for adoption to give them greater visibility.
You don't have to adopt if you don't want to or your situation doesn't allow it. What is more, what is important is that adoptions that are carried out are done in a responsible and conscientious manner.
